Invitation: Call for Contributors
The KING International Nursing Group is hoping to publish an edited collection entitled Imogene King’s Conceptual Systems, Theory of Goal Attainment and Related Theories: Applications for Nursing Today and Tomorrow. The book proposal is to be sent to Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK.
We invite you to submit a chapter of your recent thought and research to support the proposal by the end of February. Please send Bev Whelton (beverlywhelton@gmail.com) word of your intent ASAP.
You may also indicate your desire for submitting a chapter for the book for publication consideration within twelve months. Please send Bev Whelton (beverlywhelton@gmail.com) word of your intent ASAP.
Submission of a chapter does not guarantee that it will be included in the book, but all manuscripts will be carefully reviewed and feedback provided. Please provide in your cover letter how you envision this content contributing to King scholarship.
The following components ought to be included in the chapter:
1.Title
2. Objectives for the chapter- Please notice the pattern; knowing King, current impact, and future directions/application. Review Bloom’s Taxonomy for suggestions.
EXAMPLES
By reading this chapter you will increase your knowledge of King (ex. the philosophical depth within King’s insights).
By reading this chapter you will increase your understanding of how (ex. Philosophical depth increases generalizability of practice principles.)(impact of content on Nursing)
By reading this chapter you will encounter future directions and/or applications for the future of Nursing.
3. Chapter outline
4. The use of APA 7th edition for citations and format.
5. Chapter length between 10-15 pages long, excluding references (using Times New Roman, 11 Font).
6. Topics for the chapter could pertain to one of the following areas and should include the King Conceptual Systems, or Theory of Goal Attainment, including theories drawn from King’s work. Theories related to the King Framework may be included if they show their relation to the King Theory of Goal Attainment.

d. Practice
e. Research (empirical or philosophical)
f. Scholarship
g. Theory Development
Research and scholarship should be relevant to the current and future nursing environment.
